Every day the experts say
rain is a comin',
comin' right this way
First it's a comin' from the west
on course and headed straight our way.
Now there's been a change of plans
it's a comin' from the south
these rains to fall upon
our dry and thirsty land.
Another day, another week
how fast the time
has flown
and in that time
Clouds have sailed across the vast
expanse of sky
without letting fall
a single drop
to gardens parched
and dry.
Hot and humid
is what's been sent
not a mist, a little squirt
or
single drop of water
has fallen on our land
from any
rainfall band.
The expert forecast is appalling
I believe they're only guessing.
Don't they care
that with our minds they're messing?
Experts who claim to know
should simply say
though the rain is comin',
it's comin' very slow!
